Happy 80th, Dad!

Tomorrow, August 31st, is my dad's 80th birthday. If you met him, you wouldn't believe he's heading into his 80's. Keep up the good work, Dad. We want you around for a long, long time yet! I love you a ton.

Good Morning,
Dad says "THANKS" for the Greeting.
I received a wonderful present today to celebrate-----about three years ago we bought a small Oleander which was to have dark, dark rosey/red blossoms! We planted it and took care of it so carefully because I couldn't wait for it to bloom. Well it grew alright----In no time the beautiful green boughs were up to the window awning----we have cut it down several times thinking it would branch out and start sending out my beautiful red blooms--NOT!!!!

This morning I went out and was looking around, and there they were, three beautiful dark rosey/red blossoms!!!!!!!! Of course that dosn't satisfy me---I want the whole thing to be covered in blooms. It is really pretty tho.

Cooler here today, had a little over an inch of rain yesterday while we were gone to Mexico.

Loved the picture,
Later--

Thank you everyone for wishing my dad happy birthday - he thought that was very nice!!

Vera - welcome to my blog - and thank you for your very nice comments. I took a look at your blog - very cool! My first Brazilian blog!! Wish I knew Portuguese!

Violetlady - I WISH that were my gazebo! It's part of a public garden on our lake that we visited when my parents were here. I'll have to do a post - it's a very cool place.

Happy Birthday Gale from the 2 of us also! We've been busy helping a neighbor move to a condo in northeast Rochester today. Makes us want to clear out some of our "stuff"!

A belated happy 80th birthday to your dad. It's wonderful to have parents in good health - my dad turned 82 in March and never stops working in his garden.
