Mother Nature does her own decorating for the season

This is what I woke up to today (and, yes, the sun was fully up before I even opened my eyes this morning!). Seriously, Mother Nature is the Queen of Outdoor Decorating!

It was pretty this morning, wasn't it? I just wish I had my camera, but I was on my way to work by sunrise (which isn't exactly that early this time of year!)

We had this in St. Paul, too. Very nice.

And sunny and 20 is so much better than cloudy, windy, and temps in the single digits.

I have to run upstairs and put soup on then I am posting the pics I took this morning - it was gorgeous, wasn't it?

Lovely shots, Kris! I'm afraid I'll have to wait for Jack Frost's work until I leave for Montana. We're hopelessly damp and grey here in Portland.

Beautiful, remember how pretty those big old pine trees in the front yard used to look when they were covered with ice and snow......Don't get me wrong, I'll take this MISERABLE 84/87 degree heat, but it was awfully pretty. I loved yesterday's Blog, especially the Fireplace/Music room!!!!!!!"MY" piano looks good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Kris,

Can I ask you for some expert advice? I'm in a trailer right now, but we're getting ready to sell. I would like to spruce up the yard and make it a little more appealing. I have strawberry plants all along one side which are just darling, but I wonder what ideas you have for decorating small spaces. Can you throw some ideas at me?

What a lovely winter wonderland! The table photo is my favorite. It looks like a fancy cookie. Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage

Beautiful photos. Our snow total is up to 33 inches already and it's not even winter yet! The snow pics may not be quite so enchanting a few months from now. "-)

Great photographs. I love the trees outlined with snow or ice! The decorative grate is so lovely too. Merry Christmas! Stephanie
