If you're getting tired of my roses, I totally understand!
But I really can't get enough of them, and I'll enjoy all of these photos next winter when the temps are dipping below zero.
Gertrude Jekyll

Jekyll again.

And Jeykll again.

The cabbage rose - Fantin-Latour. Considering I planted this just last year, I think all of these blooms are fantastic. Too bad it won't repeat bloom, but pretty cool just the same.

Isn't this a great shot of Hawkeye Belle? (or whatever it really is)

Hawkeye Belle fully open.
This rose is in a raised bed by the patio/driveway. It might be showier if I had one of my brighter roses there, but I have dark purple siberian iris, yellow and coral daylilies and a gorgeous dark red hibiscus in the same garden, so there is plenty of color. The rose kind of blends with each thing as it blooms, so maybe a good choice.

This is the John Davis rose bush. The darker pink is William Baffin.
I have a big smile on my face when I see all of these blooms everyday!

Another view of John Davis.
(These two photos will enlarge if you click on them.)

Country Dancer.

And another bloom on Country Dancer.
Thanks for letting me indulge my love of roses here!

I ADORE the cabbage rose! Is its foliage as lush and healthy as it appears to my untrained eye? How cute.
Your rose sure are doing good. I bet it smells sooo good. I'm going to have to take a trip out side to see whats going on in my gardens today.
blackswamp_girl - the cabbage rose is amazing! Last year it sat in its little black plastic pot for most of the summer while I tried to figure out where I had room for it. It easily doubled in size during that time. This year it has tons of healthy new growth on it. It is indeed lush and healthy. I love it too!
laurie & chris - I think the roses are so cool - and the smell is heavenly!
I love the photos of the entire rose bush with all the blooms on it.
Thanks Trailhead - those two rose bushes just amaze me! I'm trying to decide if I'm going to deadhead Baffin or not - it's never done a repeat bloom for me, but I suppose this could be the year - lol!
