happy April

It's a grey dreary day - again - but at least it looks like it's stopped raining and is up to 50 at noon.

More photos from the Keukenhof - won't you be glad when my stuff finally starts blooming?!

Neighbors on both sides of us had their huge, covered docks put in yesterday and this morning. Kind of blocks the view, but that's lake living. We usually wait for a nice day to put ours in because we do it ourselves.

When Kyle was here last weekend, he dropped off two of his season tickets for the Twins-Yankee game on the 9th. Friday Mark found out he may have to go to California April 8 (fly out Easter Sunday - don't you love it). If that happens, I'll be pounding the pavement looking for someone to go with me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARY!!! Hope you're having a fun day.
(Another photo of my favorite garden - I just love it!)

Kris: Thanks for visiting my blog. There are very few Minnesota garden bloggers out there - and I think I'm the only one in the Twin Cities (at least that I've found). Now there are two in the Cities! I had a chance to look over your posts - very nice. I also read one of your previous posts where you said that you had mostly seen more southern bloggers whose daffodils are already done. Isn't that depressing? Oh well, at least it can stoke our anticipation (if all the daffs haven't rotted over the last rainy week). Anyway, it's good to "meet" you!

hi Tracy - thanks for checking out my blog. I read more of your entries over the weekend and will definitely be checking in regularly! I was very happy to find another gardener in the Cities - I look forward to "talking" to you again. Happy gardening!

Good morning! We have drizzly rain and cooler temps - fairly nice yesterday, but sounds like rest of week will not be.

A grapefruit tree traveling with you sounds like fun. Can't wait to see it - and both of you!!

I love tulips!

Unfortunately so do the deer and rabbits. Some years they eat every single tulip in my garden and I've planted hundreds of them.

Zoey - We are really lucky as far as deer. They are everywhere, but we live on a small road that has lake on both sides - so have never had them in my gardens - knock on wood!!
